CMA becomes newest member of the “Institut Francophone de la Regulation Financiere” (IFREFI) at their 13th Annual Meeting in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire

CMA Executive Board Member Mr. Sami Saliba represented the Chairman of the CMA at the 13th Annual Meeting of the “Institut Francophone de la Regulation Financiere” (IFREFI) in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire on June 3-4, 2014. Following the opening ceremony under the patronage of MR. Daniel Kablan DUNCAN, Prime Minister of Cote D Ívoire, Lebanon was welcomed as a new member to the IFREFI meetings by the assembly of Presidents of the CMAs’ member states. Mr. Saliba conducted several meetings most notably with the Prime Minister of Cote D’Ivoire, Mrs. Niale KABA, Minister of Economy & Finance and Dr. Joseph KHOURY, President of Lebanese-Cote d‘Ivoire Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

 

The meeting addressed two main subjects on its second day; Investment Funds and The Mechanisms for the Protection and Indemnification of Investors. Experts from the French AMF, Swiss Financial Authority, and other participants debated the above subjects and related recent regulatory techniques.
