CMA Board issues Decision 24 on "The Qualifications and Applications Required for Securities Business Activity"

The Capital Markets Authority has issued Decision 24 that highlights the qualifications required to be able to carry on activities related to Securities Business. The purpose of CMA Decision 24 is to:

  • Establish the categories of Registered functions required to carry on securities business in Lebanon.
  • Establish the categories of registration required by Persons to carry out designated functions and activities on behalf of an approved institution.
  • Identify exemptions for performing regulated functions
  • Provide required applications for approval of registered persons and regulated functions
